Full Time Employment: Ford College Graduate Program and Direct Hire Programs Our full-time programs offer excellent career growth for undergraduates and M.B.A.s. In Finance, we focus on the development of our people. When you join our team, our personnel development committees will mentor your career path. These committees, comprised of Finance managers at every level of the company, work to provide you with increasingly challenging finance and leadership experiences to grow your talent.
To help you grow your network of friends and colleagues in Finance, the Ford Finance Network (FFN) is our information resource for new Finance employees. FFN will provide you with a variety of formal and informal forums for networking, socializing and professional development in and out of the work setting.
Career Foundation Program This program provides individualized, flexible and balanced career development. As a member of this program, you may receive assignments in the following Finance organizations:Product Development Manufacturing Marketing, Sales & Service Purchasing Corporate Finance General Auditor’s Office Accounting Ford Financial Services Asia Pacific Operations and Associations The length of each assignment is based on its complexity, your own performance and the company’s business cycle. Most assignments last approximately 18 to 24 months; typically, you complete two assignments in one organization before rotating to another organization.
Typical experiences for new financial analysts may include accounting, capital investment analysis, cash management and forecasting, financial reporting, internal auditing, manufacturing cost analysis, product pricing, profit forecasting, revenue and market analysis, and vehicle program cost analysis. Continuing with our Back to Basics philosophy, we encourage program participants to take an assignment in one of our assembly, stamping or Powertrain plants, particularly if they have no experience in manufacturing.
Once you complete this program successfully, you will have the skills to take on challenging leadership roles throughout the Finance organization.
Student Programs - Summer Intern Program Finance offers summer intern programs for qualified undergraduate and graduate students. Our programs give you an outstanding opportunity to learn about Ford Motor Company, the Finance team and the rich adventure of life in Michigan. Internships are project-oriented, and they challenge you to demonstrate strong business acumen and technical skills. Treasury Financial Markets International Financial Management Banking Relations Corporate Financing Cash Management Risk Management Preferred Background Preferred full-time candidates are students graduating from an undergraduate or M.B.A. program with a concentration in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Math, or Statistics and a G.P.A. of at least 3.25 (B.B.A.) or 3.5 (M.B.A.) on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent).
Preferred undergraduate summer intern candidates are juniors pursuing a bachelor's degree with a concentration in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Math or Statistics and a G.P.A. of at least 3.25 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent).
Preferred M.B.A. summer intern candidates will have completed the first year of an M.B.A. program with a concentration in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Math or Statistics with a G.P.A. of at least a 3.5 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent).
Candidates must be eligible for full-time, indefinite employment in the United States.
